Sell/Buy/Date investigates the ethics and complexities of the sex industry, and does it with compassion and honesty. Acclaimed and beloved for her multi-character one-person shows — including Broadway hit Bridge & Tunnel and the play Sell/Buy/Date, which inspired this documentary — Sarah uses her debut as a film director to explore an often misunderstood industry from different perspectives and through different characters.

The result is instructive, impactful, and unflinching. It is sober and absurd. It is as unique as Sarah’s career itself. There is nothing else quite like this film, and there is no one like Sarah.
