Monday, August 25th at 7pm ET on Instagram Live
Alua Arthur is an incredible death doula and writer whose mission is to get us to think about and talk about one of the last taboo subjects in our culture: our own deaths. And I am thrilled that she will be our next guest on the Onward Book Club.
Her subtitle is “Making an Authentic Life by Getting Real About the End,” and that’s because this book is not really about dying. It’s about living. It’s about enriching our lives by facing and embracing our own mortality, about living authentically, joyfully, and with less fear.
This book is a public service. It is tender. It is interesting. It is important. Did Publishers Weekly call this a poignant and elegant debut memoir? Did USA Today say it’s life-changing and deeply transformative? Did Kirkus Reviews call it poetic, powerful, and inspiring? YES THEY DID.
Please join Alua and me on Instagram for a live conversation on Monday, August 25th at 7pm ET. (Afterward, the recording will be posted right here!)
And as always, a shout out to our partner bookshop, Elizabeth’s Bookshop & Writing Centre.
